General Manager of China Nerin Wu Runhua Led a Delegation to Attend the Seminario FURE 2025 in Chile
From September 4th to 5th (local time), the Seminario FURE 2025 (Seminario de Fundiciones y Refinerías/Seminar of Smelters and Refineries), organized by IIMCh (Instituto de Ingenieros de Minas de Chile/Institute of Engineers of Mines of Chile), was grandly held in Valparaíso, Chile. As Chile’s premier annual event for the copper industry, the seminar gathered renowned experts and corporate representatives from the copper industry all over the world to discuss cutting-edge technologies and development trends in the industry. Minister of the Ministry of Mines of the Republic of Chile, Madam Aurora Williams, attended the seminar and delivered a speech. General Manager of China Nerin Wu Runhua, accompanied by representatives from China Nerin South America branch, led a delegation to attend the seminar, and showcased China Nerin’s leading capabilities in the global copper smelting field through speeches, dialogues, and technical presentations, further consolidating the foundation of our in-depth cooperation with Chile.

On the morning of September 4th, Wu Runhua delivered a speech on behalf of China Nerin in the seminar, sharing China’s achievements in the development of copper industry and China Nerin’s practical experience. As a technology-driven international engineering company, China Nerin holds a prominent position in the global copper smelting field — the cumulative capacity of copper smelters designed by China Nerin has been over 10 million tons (based on metallic copper); China Nerin has provided design and technical services for three of the world's four mega-scale copper smelters which are currently under construction and delivered integrated services involving Engineering Design + Project Management + Proprietary Equipment + Digital Technology to over 70 countries, serving as a key platform for exporting China's copper smelting technologies to other countries.

On the morning of September 5th, Wang Wei, Market and Operations Director of China Nerin’s Metallurgical Sector, delivered a keynote report titled "Thoughts on Strengthening Chile's International Leadership in Copper Smelting". The report closely focused on the core needs of the development of Chile's copper industry. Using key questions such as "How to precisely position Chile's copper industry strategy", "How to efficiently build a full industry chain system", "How to consolidate global competitive advantages based on resource strengths", and "How to deepen complementary development with the Chinese market" as entry points, it systematically elaborated on advanced copper smelting technical paths and construction solutions of smart plants, and highlighted the NDI, a full-process digital-intelligent solution for the non-ferrous metals industry developed by China Nerin. By making up a closed-loop ecosystem covering the entire copper industry chain, the NDI solution can provide full-cycle technical empowerment for the digital transformation of Chilean copper enterprises. The report's content, being both forward looking and practical, attracted significant interest among the attendees.

It is worth mentioning that China Nerin has established a substantial cooperative foundation with Chile and has set up a branch company in the country. Over the years, China Nerin has consistently shared China's experience in the development of mining and metallurgical industry, successively providing technical solutions such as upgrading and retrofitting, environmental enhancement, and equipment supply for major mining and smelting enterprises in Chile, including Corporacion Nacional del Cobre de Chile (CODELCO) and Empresa Nacional de Minería (ENAMI).
The participation in such a seminar not only earned China Nerin the full recognition from international peers in terms of its technical prowess and project experience but also effectively expanded the company’s brand influence within Chile’s and South America’s copper industry, creating good opportunities for deepening cooperation in the South American market and collaborating with Chile to build a more robust copper industry chain system. In the future, China Nerin will continue to leverage its strengths in talent, technology, and management and share development expertise with Chilean counterparts to jointly promote the high-quality development of the global copper industry.
